Panthers

Image
When Hendra looked out the window, a panther stared back at him.
"Beautiful. Looked very healthy," Hendra explained, adding it stayed on the porch for about 20 minutes.  Hendra said the big cat laid down on the porch for some time before looking back through the window, then slowly walking away. The family hasn't spotted the cat since.  Hendra said his parents have lived in the home since 1988. They reported having seen a younger panther about two years ago, but never a fully-grown cat so close to the house.  Hendra said there was, "nothing like this once in a lifetime On on [sic] early morning nature walk we saw a gator, a snake, frogs, pretty birds, and had this unexpected encounter," her post stated.  "Warning...curse word at end!"

Fl swimming holes

Florida has some of the most beautiful natural swimming locales in the country. You should definitely check these out this summer, but remember there are more potential dangers than at the pool (including alligators), and there is usually no lifeguard on duty. Always accompany children and weaker swimmers and research potential dangers before your trip. Be safe and have fun! 1. Wakulla SpringsFlickr/Paul Clarkwww.floridastateparks.org Near Tallahassee lies one of the largest and deepest freshwater springs in the world, swimmers can find an observation and diving platform at the head of the spring. Bonus points: Scuba diving for those certified is allowed at Cherokee Sink, but calling ahead is recommended. 2.
