Playing around with Cricut

     Playing with my Cricut today..I love it so do  my girls. Jax helped me today .... we made some signs.She has nails so she can get the backing off the vinyl and transfer paper faster than me.  I need to us a pin and I stab myself quite often.

  We made a couple more but we have to paint the frames and attach the sign( will photo tomorrow.)

 I finished the sign that Jen had started . I made the pink flowers with the Cricut machine.  

Well, it's time to call it a night.

EASY FOR THIS WEEKEND

Ingredients

• 1 cup (8floz/225ml) heavy whipping cream
• 1 cup (8oz/225g) mascarpone cheese, room temperature (see substitute idea below)
• 1/3 cup (2 1/2 oz/71g) sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon Amaretto liquor or Brandy (optional but yummy!)
• 2 cups (16oz/450ml) espresso or STRONG coffee at room temperature
• 1 pack Ladyfingers (Boudoir biscuits/Savoiardi. Look for eggless if needed)
• Cocoa powder for dusting the top

Instructions

1. Beat whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
2. Add in mascarpone cheese and amaretto (if using) and continue to whip to stiff peaks.
3. Dip ladyfingers in coffee (and brandy if using) and place in an 8×8 pan to make the first layer – you can fit about 7 cookies in each layer. Don't let them soak as the will fall apart, just a quick dunk in the coffee is enough.
4. Spread half of the whipped cream mixture on top of the first layer of ladyfingers. Repeat process with the second layer of ladyfingers and cream mixture.
5. Dust the top of dessert with cocoa powder using a sieve. Refrigerate for about 2-4 hours (it gets even better in the fridge and is a perfect make-ahead dessert).

Early morning work

     I find if I stay up when my daughter leaves for work at 4:45 am. I can get some quiet time in one learning my cricut machine. I have bee working on signs. Made one for Hailie , she's redoing her room for graduation since she is staying home and going to the college near by instead of the one in Jacksonville.4hours away.  I'm so happy she isn't leaving.

I also made 2 others, just fooling around with different materials. It is fun. Mistakes have been made but that is how you learn.

  I have to glue the letters and then go buy a wood stapler.....I know we have one somewhere in the garage, but with 2  Harley's and zero turn mower and the rest of my brothers stuff I can't even get near the work bench in my wheelchair to look.  so I guess I need to shop, Sears and Hobby Lobby I guess I'll visit you today.
